Life outside the artboard

Design pays the bills, but it isn’t the whole story. Close the laptop and you’ll usually find me playing a sport, hunting down a new place to eat or gently convincing my motorcycle that the noise it’s making is nothing to worry about. This is the version that never quite makes it onto a résumé.

I’m Brenden, a Mumbai-based product designer with 4.5 years crafting user-centric products across eCommerce, public transport and B2B SaaS.

Right now, at Kombee, I design the end-to-end digital ecosystem for a leading paints & coatings brand: products that follow a single job from the field to the storefront. That means a field survey app for surveyors, an estimate-creation platform for sales advisors, the consumer website, a contractor loyalty app and a family of dealer-management loyalty portals.

Before that, at Billeasy E-Solutions, I led the design of WhatsApp-based Metro eTicketing for the Mumbai, Hyderabad, Pune and Nagpur metros, taking booking from 120 seconds to 45 and lifting ad revenue 90%, and shaped white-label commerce for brands like Tim Hortons India. I got my start as a design intern at CustomerSuccessBox, a B2B SaaS platform, working alongside product and engineering.

Find me on the field

Find me on the field

Cricket, football, volleyball, I’m genuinely not picky. If there’s a ball, a scoreboard, and at least one person willing to argue about the rules, I’m in. I play every game like silverware is on the line, which, in my head, it always is.

Two wheels and a toolbox

Two wheels and a toolbox

Most weekends I’m out on my bike looking for a better road or in the garage ‘servicing’ it, which mostly means taking bits apart and quietly hoping they remember where they go. The ride is the reward. The grease under the nails is just the receipt.

A gym streak I renew every Monday

A gym streak I renew every Monday

I hit the gym daily. Or, more honestly, I try to, daily. Some weeks the streak is spotless; some weeks ‘rest day’ quietly multiplies into ‘rest days’. Either way I keep turning up, which I’m reliably told is the entire point.

Always searching for new experiences

Always searching for new experiences

Always up for trying something new, even when it’s a little outside my comfort zone. Life’s too short to keep things boring.
